I have not built it yet but am getter ready to (got all the parts). I fly in grass and some of my planes (apprentice 15e, super cub) I had to put bigger wheels on them to get it to move in the grass (without nosing over). I am assuming that I will have the same problem with the leader 480, am I correct in that assumption? Should I think about converting this to a tail dagger, or just try using a bigger front wheel? I am still relatively new to the hobby?

i would just get some bigger wheels rather then make the plane a tail dragger, ya grass needs larger wheels, i have 2.25 inch wheels on mine, i have flown off of rather short grass, it still would not look out of place with 2.75 or eve 3.0 inch wheels to me.
on my leader i added a support across the battery area as it felt flimsy when i handle the plane, feels good now. here is a few pics to. i took a pic with a 3.0 inch wheel on there the others are 2.25.

I fly mine off grass both rough(about two inches long) and smooth. Also off dried lake with rubble. The stock wheels handle it well.

On my second leader now courtesy of a fellow pilot not calling "landing" and we plowed into each other.
My pulso was quite good power match before but wondering if my power 15 equiv would work well. Its only 15gms more than the power10 but a whopping 600watts.

Any thoughts?

15 should be ok.
Just make sure you put extra CA or epoxy on the motor box.
15 with an 11x7 on 3s should give you about 450watts. Heaps of power. add 4s and it will go to mid 600s

Changed out my 40A ESC for a 60A for a little more headroom and peace of mind. Flew it in 5-8 mph breezes and had a great time. I decided the low grass of the field might be a little easier on the airframe so I switched over to there and she lands beautifly. No drama, and the guys commented on how nice the landings were. That's my favorite thing to do and this plane makes me look better then I am. Love this plane!

Here's yesterday's Leader warm up flight. Pretty easy and basic, but fun!
