I have had the opportunity to fly the WiteSpy Flip Quad quite a bit over the last few weeks.

All I can say is "WOW"! The Flip is a nearly indestructible Sport Quad. You can flip it, roll it, fly low and fast and smack the ground and keep flying . This will be a great addition to the WiteSpy line of products!

I am certain you will see photos and full descriptions soon.

This looks like it might be just the kind of quad I've been wanting.
I'm looking forward to reviews, opinions, etc.

This may be a noobie question. I saw someone here talking about using his Devo 12 flying a witespy quad so I guess it's doable to fly it with a Devo 8s? I thought witespy quad had a spektrum Rx, do I need to do anything with my Devo 8s to bind it?

That would probably be me, I assume.
The Witespy can be purchased with the Spektrum RX.
When I purchased my Witespy, I didn't buy the Spektrum RX. I sent Paul my TX & RX and had him set it all up for me.
If you were to use your TX of course you would need the RX for it as well and bind the two together but yeah, I suppose it's doable. I don't see why not but don't hold me to that! It would be better to ask Paul (Witespy).

There's a firmware downloadable from www.deviationtx.com to make Devo 6 and 8s compatible with any dsm2 Rx. I wonder if I could just get it and fly a witespy quad.

Just got mine last night! I can't believe how nice it is. And it was packed so well! Can't wait to fly it. We are supposed to get snow this weekend, so if anything I'm hoping to get it up and running and maybe do a couple test hops in the house.

Quick question: With the DX8 file Paul supplies, can I just use that on a new model in my DX8 and not have to go through the whole setup process...other than binding the RX to my TX? Or do I still need to set up yaw, roll, pitch etc?

I was lucky enought to get my hands on the new flip quad from readytoflyquads.com, this comes with the Flip MWC 1.5 Gyro/Accelerometer board, i must say i am impressed!! this quad is amazingly stable, fast, and most importanly FUN!!

I would have to compare this board to the open pilot board if not better! its amazing , super smooth, very responsive, $20 not bad at all!!!

Here is some video of it in action i will be posting more soon
