Well it happened
2 bad hand launches in low winds. First was over head and it just flopped The 2nd was power on while holding wing and releasing which resulted in torque roll - nose cone split at center and bent a bit but easily fixable 3rd was success Launched from wing about 3/4 throttle and let go - this will be the method I use. I find I can't get a good enough grip in finger holes - oh well. Love this baby

Launching above half throttle gives you no real benefit in my opinion. The tips of the prop are stalled until you get some forward speed. Launch with half throttle, with your right hand on the sticks so you can quickly recover. Then throttle up as soon as you can get your hand back to the left stick.
