Well guys I got my 30C 2200 lipo today and immediately charged it up and took the Stryker to the back of the neighborhood (It's pretty sweet having an unfinished part of the neighborhood with about 1/2 mile of grass).

My old 1800mah 20C battery wasn't giving this plane justice! with the new 30C 2200mah this plane will cover a lot of ground very fast! No more motor pulsing either, so the old battery just wasn't quite enough. The Q has great vertical performance and even better top speed. I feel very in control of this plane even at high rates. Roll rate is absolutely ridiculous!

I made 4 launches and landings, all without incident. The overhand toss with power off is no problem. Every landing was an elevator to a slow, high alfa landing which all touched down easy and smooth.

Can't wait to fly it again, I may go back out this evening and get a flight in. The motor did come back hot, but not TOO hot, after about 6-7 minutes of flying with quite a few high speed full throttle passes. Plus, it is 95 degrees here in NC. The lipo was right at storage capacity at 3.8 per cell.

40C batteries should be here early next week!

it was a craftsman mechanic glove, it's thin so I could fly the sticks with it

i use my f27q with an rockamp 60a v2 esc with 4s 2200 rockamp and turnigy 35c lipos with the stock engine and 6x6 / 6x4,5 prop

Flew my other planes out at the field today... All of them seem sooooo slow now thanks to the Stryker!

Turn the Radian into a FPV platform...thats what I did. LOL

Well it happened

2 bad hand launches in low winds.

First was over head and it just flopped

The 2nd was power on while holding wing and releasing which resulted in torque roll - nose cone split at center and bent a bit but easily fixable

3rd was success

Launched from wing about 3/4 throttle and let go - this will be the method I use. I find I can't get a good enough grip in finger holes - oh well.

Got it up to about 11000' the other day and hit wicked winds, all I could do to get it back, Stryker is a nice contrast

Got a Radian Pro too, more like fishing than flying, soar around looking for lift, reel it in, and look for another one, it's it's own fun, can be relaxing, or exciting depending on conditions, and how you fly. The stryker is quickly becoming my favorite HH Foamie aerobatic plane, it's as fast as my Habu, loops and spins like my Extra300, glides around turning gently like my Corsair, and fits in the car like my UM beast. I flew a modded B model before this, but the Q is my first stryker, and I can see why they have such a loyal following.

Ah, 11K above sea level, somewhere around 2K above the dirt

Launching above half throttle gives you no real benefit in my opinion. The tips of the prop are stalled until you get some forward speed. Launch with half throttle, with your right hand on the sticks so you can quickly recover. Then throttle up as soon as you can get your hand back to the left stick.

yeah, half throttle is about where I ended up to
