Which propeller?

Rcvd my red Bandit....everything arrived in good order....

Looking ahead to propeller selection

Manual says VOX 14x7 for fast aerobatics and 3D.....3S which is what I am going to fly

Would the VOX 12x6 or APC 12x6e work for sport and aerobatics?

Manual says propeller evaluation is in progress....what is the latest?

I have both 12x6s

I finished my Bandit today. I'll be headed to the field tomorrow for some test flights.

Oh yeah, how come you don't have the vortex thingies on the wings?

EDIT: Nevermind. looks like they're not standard in the kit. Didn't know that.

Speaking of vortex generators - how does one know where to put the ones on the LE?

I have a set. I plan to do a couple flights without them (3s and 4s) and then put them on to see what difference it makes in performance. They really made a difference on my 260. Its more for curiosity than anything.

Joel

On mine I can make out the pre-cut holes through the covering. The easy way to do it is to flip the wing upside down and look at them. The clear covering makes it easy to spot the slots. The instructions suggest running a pin through from the bottom to mark the exact location of the slots on the top of the wing.

For Vox props 14X7 is the go on 3s. You could go down to a 13x6.5 as well. 12x6 is for 4s.

For 3S, Vox 14x7 is the best prop. For 4S Vox 12x6! We don't recommend using APC props as they are coming way off balance and they can damage your motorbox and spinner!

Dan have you all tried running the T40 props on the Bandit, or was that one more designed specifically for the Addicition-X?

When I get this I'm just going to keep it simple and run the recommended stuff in the manual.

Haven't tried the ADX prop on this one, but i don't think it would be a good match, because it is a fairly low pitch prop designed for the low speed of the ADX. 14x7 for 3S is awesome, and 12x6 Vox with 4S is my favorite
