Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. I am still on the hunt for stuff. Just got another P-6 Skyglas kit, complete. Going after a built Curare fuselage next week, need's a wing, anyone know if a Tipo wing will fit the Curare saddle?

I would have liked to go to Dave Phillip's contest, it is a 600+ mile trip for me, one way. That equate's to an $800.00+ weekend, I have chewed on this more then once. We have tried to organize SPA in FL, it hasn't worked.

I have a lot of pattern stuff, ama, bpa and spa, not doing it any justice, it is just gathering dust. New Focus Sport ARF kit, maybe one of a few left, as there is none for sale. The ARC F. Sport is done, I glassed it, waiting on maiden.

If anyone interested, I switched the stock regulator from the YS110, to the new YS70 and 115 regulator, make's all the difference for tuning, etc.
I am thinking of a scale project, see attached.

Phoenix Flyer.... So cal, here... who did you get your P-8 kit from? and were the wings "feather cut" or do they use training edge stock ?

Phoenix 8 Fuslelage and Core's

Kevin - The Phoenix kit's I have, all the old Skyglas kit's. Wing core's, blocked at the TE, 3/8" stock, then 1/16" sheet over that, top and bottom.
There is a guy making P-8 fuselage's, and he is going to start cutting core's soon.

There are other avenue's for core's, maybe wing mfg.

================================================== =======

David - It is an ECM-Pilatus. The new DA-75, or old DA-50 for power. I just have to get on to something else, I am not doing all the pattern stuff any justice, and may be getting rid of the AMA stuff. Keep all the SPA-BPA plane's, engine's, etc.

Spec's on this plane below:

Length:

81.5"
Wing Span:
71"
Wing area:
6.0 sq. ft.
Wing Loading:
40.6oz/sq. ft.
Flying Weight:
15.2lbs.*
Radio:

6ch & 9 servos
Gas Engine: 38cc to 50cc
Glow Engine: 1.60 2 cycle or 1.80 4 cycle

Kevin, Pheonix flyer's house has magnetic Phoenix roof shingles. They swipe any phoenix's that become available. I did manage to steal a few of his extra shingles and therefore managed to snag a P-8 as it flew overhead.

Hey Crank,

sorry to hear about the dust gathering... nice weather down in your neck of the woods!

But, given your recent interest, you might want to check this out:

Massive undertaking is an understatement.
