New HobbyKing Viper Jet 70mm Fibreglass Jet

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=15534

Feeling a bit guinea-piggish, so I just ordered one. Going to go with JS1400 in a WM 400 fan, on 5 cell with a K-Force 100 amp esc, since it's all sitting on the shelf.

This bird looks interesting. Flaps put me over the edge on it, so swiiiing goes the C.C.

Just saw that today. Looks pretty nice. Go for it Jag!

Wish they had a different color, but that can easily be fixed...

They don't show the bottom of the wing, but I would venture to say that one would have to mod it for retracts.

I don't mind the color myself. I'm hoping this is one to just chuck together, and go have some fun with....nothing too serious.
I'm sure it's not retract friendly, and I'm ok with that on this one. I might use the supplied LG, or might go the bungee route. I kinda like the idea of using the lg since it has flaps. Kinda nice to have one that takes off and lands gently.
Anyway, one's on the way so we'll find out what its all about.

Good find. Nice looking 70mm. Looks to be at least HET quality. My guess is that it might be retract friendly. From this pic it looks like the nose gear works are there, and even a spot for the steering servo.

So what did your friend say the large winglets would do?

Well, it looks a whole lot better than Sapac's Viper Jet. Sapac's look more like a mock-up drone or something, but not this one.

A mock-up drone? How so? The SAPAC one is known to fly great, we'll see how they compare when this one flies. The winglets do look cool though...

the viper jets looks great, supposed to fly great, can take brakes, retracts, and has flaps, can get to over 150MP, and i am buying my self one very soon.

HobbyKing's Viper jet looks a whole lot better than Sapac's. I not saying that Sapac's Viperjet can't perform, I'm saying it just look underdevelop compared to HobbyKing's, that's all.
