Nice work Ralph.

Some dry grass would be nice. Flew this mornin, landing the bearcat was like a splash-down.

T-28 Maiden

Well, 100 girl soccor players, 200 pop warner football kids, cheerleader at all 3 fields...decided to maiden on the street leading to high school about 100 yd long with a side grass area of 75' wide bordered by high trees. I usually fly here when I have a need for some kamakize(sp?) actions.

Could tell it had sufficient power but felt in may hands it wanted to fly downward. Move the bat back about a 1/2" set some up trim....and sure enough it flew and flew quite well.

I made the ailerons only 3/4" wide but full span and on low was very easy to fly. One of my sons is moving up to aileron and I wtd this for him. Needed a fair aount of up in turns but generally was ok. With a slight headwind made made approach and 28 comes in nice in flat and slow for a perfect landing. One thing about a carve wing they don't really tip stall but mushes forwarded. Even my wife gave me a thumbs up. ( I think it was thumbs up)

In any event the thunder came as I landed and the skies open up and it just poured. Steve knows about about NE weather this summer.

All in all I am very pleased.

I just might add couple of egg drops!

I think I know why it wanted to go down and not up. I set the wing incidence to 0 degress but as I look at the plans and enlargement it appears the tail iis set negative to the wing. This is ok on the original since the wing had at least 5 deg positive incidence. Anyhow it sounds good.

I don't think so JM. I just love his planes. AAMOF this would be a nice easy flying aileron plane for GWS. Eh, Mr. Lin.......Mr. Lin

It is a cute little plane though.

Sounds like a good idea to me. My Spit is due in tomorrow so he can still pay the rent this month. Don't know when I'll get around to doing it though.

Sweet.............. just had 2 flights this morning before work flies real nice & easy, nice rolls , needs to be power up or slight dive for loops, probably because of the larger frontal area and looks cool in yellow.

I really like the MPI 25/35 bl..excellent price performance.

I am seriously considering the T-28 at 300% (48"ws) with the AXI 2810/20 nice size to detail and would look great in the Navy red & white color scheme.

JM, you really gonna like the Spit it looks so cool as you dive pull up and do a victory roll. Something about that ellipticle wing planform. I highly recommend the MPI for the Spit if your are not out for pure speed.

I just thinking out loud but maybe I should also try the Guillows Hellcat at 200% with the MPI.
