just did a search on them, as i never heard of them, and although they look tiny, they appear to have a good resolution, and for 40 they would make a good reserve pair, if i could find them for 40 i would defo get a pair even just to keep in your ground station, just found this

I have myvu crystal original edition. I've nvr used them for fpv but I know user pc pilot does and is very happy with them.

Mine do give a very good picture. The fov is a bit on the narrow side but for 40 IF they are the same or similar I think it's worth trying them out.

I use the MYVU Crystal and like it very much. It does not blue screen with degrading video signal, you will see as the image gets worse. It will blue screen on total loss of signal but comes back as soon as the signal is restored. I agree that the field of view is not the widest but the picture is very clear and crisp. Plus it has brightness and contrast contols.

Nice Kopin LCDs, really sharp crisp video but smaller screen as mentioned above. Good price but needs a cover since too much light enters from above and below the goggles. One of Rob's Ski mask cheap fix will turn this goggle into one really nice piece! ( http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1371085 ) Oh for those who wear glasses, the standard way of wearing these are not that perfect...need some sort of straps like used for sports to hold the goggles firmly in place. Again.. the video is nice and you will forget about the minor things.

Help with wiring of Myvu

I finally got my Myvu goggles today. Unfortunately the Lipo inside is dead, and in the process of opening the case I managed to rip the 3 battery wires clean of the PCB.

Has anyone opened theirs and would be able to help me identify what is + and what is - on the PCB? Any help appreciated.

If anyone who's got these would be able to just carefully lift the lid of the casing - start on the side and move towards the jack connector (not the one going to the goggles) one should be able to see the wires of the battery and how they connect to the PCB. .

I've included a picture of the PCB. I guess there might be a way to find out which is the + or - on the PCB by testing against some of the other components but that's outside of my scope of knowledge....
