Mystery Plane/Owner (Laird Super Solution)

I have a Christmas tree ornament of this plane, it's called a Laird Super Solution. I was looking for an RC version of this plane but the best I could find was a scratch built that was huge.

Oddly, just a couple hours ago I was looking back through old SEFF pics I took, and found this pic of one from 2008! So someone has an RC version of this plane. It looks like it's built from a kit.

Anyone know who owns this plane, or where I can find an RC kit of one?

(The first two pics are of a real one.... obviously.)

I've been looking for a kit or plan of the LSS for years now with no luck (which might save you some effort ).

This is the only one I can find http://www.internethobbies.com/dulasusorupo.html so maybe your best hope is to buy that one and scale it up if you want something bigger. I'd like to do it myself but unfortunately my drawing/building skills aren't up to the task.

Good luck

This guy apparently enlarged the plans. If you go to post #4, he gives the email address of the guy who upscaled them. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10...m.htm#10409739

I'm looking more for a 40" to 50" wingspan. I might see if that guy can hook me up with the plans.

I should probably move this thread now. But I put it here because the only LSS I've seen was at SEFF 2008. (As the 3rd pic in the 1st post shows.)

Building One

Hi Moonbeam:

A partner and I are building one in my blog. We got the plans from Outerzone.com and I blew them up to a 45" wingspan. Stop by my blog.
