Hey guys i am building a Hobbyking epp fpv plane.
I changed a lot and when its finished you will see.

But the plane is getting more heavy every day .

What do you think is the maximum all in all weight that plane can handle?

Mine will have arround 2,9kg...

In fact thats why:

1)
Good Servos

2)
I do have a landing gear and a very solid version for the tail wheel.

3)
a 1,5 watt video system an for that i put the receiver under the back wing and the video in the nose.

4)
i have the camera under the plane in a plastic cage to prevent it from damage

5)
a LED landing and beacon system

6) HD camera and KX 191, osd etc..

7)
and the most heavy thing - i would like to fly it with 2 5000mah in a row for longrange... (1 weights around 500g)

8) Strong Magnets as support for the Main Wing

9) Motor and strong ESC for arround 550 watts

What do you think? Am i working in the wrong direction?

It has the wingspan to handle the weight but I would think carefully about how the wing is attached if you have to do any extreme maneuvers. May need additional sparring too.

FYI, I have 2x 3s 3000MAH Turnigy Nano's that fit great in the nose of the EPP FPV... might want to consider that instead.

If you read the main EPP FPV page, I believe some have gotten theirs to fly with 300W setups, so I would assume the 550w setup would have enough thrust. Definately use a dummy camera weight to test instead of your HD camera.

Maybe i use only one 5000mah first. that would bring it to 2,4 kg.
That with the additional sparrings might be a point.

The wing attachment should work with 8 fat elastic bands and 4 magnets (each of it can lift 0,6 kg.) And of course main wing glued together.
