More proress on the 60" Gee Bee

Got the airframe done tonight, aside from the cowl bolts. If all goes well, I'll install the servos and control rods tomorrow. Then, its just a matter of finding just the right motor/prop/battery combo for this one.

Got the motor ordered today. Thank you Himax! 5030 390 outrunner on 6S and a 15x14 prop should do the trick. Says 90mph pitch speed, so should do 80ish in the air. I'll be using the same motor on my Turbo Raven, but on 8S with a 13x10 prop... good for nearly 100mph. Things are coming together nicely.

Oh No, I couldn't possibly think of flying anything like that, that fast.

I know, you fly a Blackhawk, so speed is what you are used to.

I can't think that fast.

Have a bunch of fun.

Im acctually not going to have anything thats REALLY fast this year. My Ritewing dosnt have a motor on it, so my big planes will probably end up being the fastest things I fly at SEFF this year. Maybe 100mph ish on some of them, thats it. I may be able to talk someone into giving me a turn on the sticks with a fast plane though... we'll see.
