Heat Sealing Vacuum bag?

I was curious if anyone tried heat sealing their vacuum bagging tubes. Can you just use a regular trim sealing iron?

I use a lot of plastic tubing to do bagging. I have an impulse sealer that will do up to 16". I start the bag out long, cut right at the weld when opening, and reseal again for the next bagging.

Otherwise you can use the bladder welding technique if your plastic is compatible.

I also prefer the plastic tubing route. I seal one end with tacky tape and use a removable clamp seal for the other side.
