Yes, that's what I was afraid of...
It means, that my modifications make the skin 2 unusable. (Try to edit a value: then the background will be white, so you won't see the white text at all!)

Sorry, but if you want to use the skin 2, than you have to revert to the original library!

It would be possible to make the backgrounds mid-gray, but then it wouldn't be optimal for either skin. For example when it writes on it with red (while editing or selected) then color blinds won't see the text...

I will make a notice on this issue in the announcement post.

Thank you for testing, I really appreciate it!

Well, it has 60 model memories, but not all the settings are in the model data, for example the settings of the system menu (the rightmost button with a wrench) are general for the transmitter.

You have to disable the sensor not to have the lock outs.

I have a devo12 with the telemetry module and a devo12S and both have the same problem when the sensor is active lock outs on both the transmitters.

With the sensor inhibit the devos work super fine without any lock outs.

Its daylight robbery they now sommething is wrong with the telemetry and still selling the devo12S and promoting the telemerty function

Is walkera telling costumors there is sommething wrong with the devo12 NOW they dont and they now the problem exist

Its a very nice TX if you dont need the telemetry.

Lets hope they soon come with a solution for this problem.

I have just ordered a 12S so I can not try out this idea I had about telemetry problem. But I have studied former Walkera radio protocols and something came to my mind:
- Did you try the following sequence? 1) Tx Off 2)Rx + Telemetry On 3) Tx On
- Are Rx and telemetry antennas close by or parallel to each other?

As telemetry is sent in the same radio band the TX uses to transmit, it might be jamming the signal. If you switch the Tx when telemetry is already transmitting, the 12S would be able to sense the busy channel and avoid it.
It would be also a good idea to have all 3 antennas perpendicular to each other (2 from Rx ad one from telemetry).

Just a theory but worth trying out...

You know they fixed telemetry with the latest firmware update, right?

Been flying with the Devo for a few months now and really like it. One thing that drives me nuts is not having servo speed control. I hate to see the flaps bang down and even in the air you can see the plane jump with you throw them. I have looked into setting one of the slides as the control so I can deploy them slowly but the flap menu does not allow that, at least as far as I can tell maybe I am missing something. Can set up a custom mix but have not gotten around to it. Anyone have any ideas?

Heli8, did you ever figure out how to get trim in delta wing mode? I've got a Devo 10 on order (with a mini CP), and I'm thinking of getting a tuffwing (which would need elevons).

Thanks!

A futaba 10CHP is a great radio for the price. RX's can be a little pricey though.

Hi,

Can someone please open the 12s and tell what's written on four big chips on the board? It cannot be seen on the photo.

The most important thing is the square chip in the center next to the LCD panel connector.

Hi All,
I would thank FDR_ for it great library!
I've installed it on my Devo12 about 1 month ago and I'm really happy with it!

Small idea/suggestion: while there are some projects on the way like new "deviation" firmware and FDR_' libraries, it would be a nice to have a PC based model editor, doesn't it?
Model data saved on .bin files are really simple to decode, I think.

Someone interested?

Bye

You are welcome!

I've made a model editor for the DEVO 8/8S, and there wasn't too much interest about it...

Since the model data file of each DEVO model is a different binary, it's not that easy to port them to other transmitters (not to mention that the DEVO 12 has much more options). The most tiring part of the development was to discover the model data file: change one thing, turn off (beep), turn on in dfu mode, name the file, download the file, compare it with a default file, leave dfu mode (beep-beep), change it back, change something else, and so on x1000 times!

OPS... my fault sorry. :-) I haven't found it on your site before.
Anyway I agree with you: mapping the model file can be a really boring and long job. But your web editor is amazing and really nice!
Maybe it would be more interesting to users if the USB driver developed for Deviation firmware project could be used also with original firmware, so that the editor software can also be used as a database of one's own models without the mess of uploading/downloading each model as bin file.
