Man I can't say enough about how much I love this plane!

I was able to fly her 8 more times this weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this perfect aerobat! Do not be worried too much about moving the battery into a perfect CG. I have a 4s 3300mah at the back edge of the battery tray, not even moved to the spar like some have mentioned. The CG is 95mm from the leading edge and she flies perfect at this spot!

You guys are spoiled living in CA. It was cold and snowing last Friday so I don't even bother to charge me batteries. It turned out Sunday was quite nice, 34 degree with 8mph wind, but I have not battery for the Extra.

Don't worry about the CG, I agree that placing CG at 95mm this plane is sweet. Just line up with the runway and reduce throttle and she will land herself! The only reason I am moving CG back is to improve harrier. I am going to install some vortex generators on her to see if that helps. She is not bad at harrier, just not as lock-in as the Slick.

I created a new video of my Extra 330sc today. The weather in Southern California has been gorgeous lately, and the flying was a blast this weekend.

I just got a new camcorder to use as my hat-cam, which is an 808 #16 that I purchased on ebay for $45. The quality of this new 720p HD gem is superb for the price!

Nice video! I had two flights on my 330 today as well. I also had my key chain camera attached to my hat but only got about 10 seconds of my flying in focus during 6 minutes flight time.

In order to use my 3200 mah battery, I add a half oz lead to the tail. I also installed vortex generators to the wings and the post stall flight charastics improved a bit. Need to find a way to use my hat cam.

+1, still the best value at $199. 3025 is one of the smoothest motors I have run.

As close to a "no brainier" as you can probably get for a plane/motor combo this good.

Thanks guys! You've talked me into it. It will have to wait a bit since I've exhausted my hobby budget So don't buy them all up I will be buying one in the future for sure. I appreciate the answers.

I am very very happy with my XTRA 330sc! It really is a no-brainer to get this wonderful model, build her, and fly her regularly. I already have flown my XTRA 22 times in 3 weeks.

22 times?! It's even more than the total batteries I have flown in a month..Crappy weather here.

Are you guys getting some solid 3D action out of her or just precision flying?

I fly mine as a precision flyer, so I cannot make any comments on the 3D aspects other than I believe you will need to use larger control arms on your servos. The arms that came with my Hitec 85MG servos do not provide enough throw for what most 3D pilots would want.
