The more I look at it the more I like this one. I would say a must have, but I still haven't got my 63" VQ P-40 in the air yet, and LDM has seen someone is working on an 80" P-40. Might have to wait and see what developes with that before I pull the trigger on this one.
By the looks of the video I'll bet I could ground loop this one in a heartbeat

...I have just had a closer look at the first pics in this thread, the servos look so small! Are those normal 9g servos? I can't believe that, at a plane that size I would at least like to see medium size if not full size (40mm) servos.

cheers
Uwe

This one has had my attention for weeks now. The money is just burning a hole in my pocket! How much longer are we going to have to wait?

Around May 20th was mentioned somewhere as a release date, barring unforeseen interruptions.

Here are a few more photos that Andy said I could post up here. This P40 is looking SOOO sweet! Andy says he is testing, testing, testing ... to be sure it is really dialed iin.

The only thing that I do not like about it so far is that BOTH color schemes look real nice. And that means a choice will be necessary?! I tend to "see" models for how they will potentially appear in photos and video. I visualize the photos and video cuts that I would shoot, given the chance. And I can tell both of these schemes are just gonna POP!

Thanks for the update Andy! You REALLY have us excited now. Looks like Summer of 2010 is gonna be fun!

Andy, will it be possible to order a complete, but unpainted model? I'd very much like to do an Aussie version!

Wow this is really a great looking plane. I've been sticking with the Parkzone birds because I think they're really the ideal size for where I live, but I think the football field I've started flying at may actually have enough room for a bigger plane like this. And my girlfriend loves the look of the P-40!!

Really I won't be flying this one at our local football field. Way too many obstacles for a bird on 6s. Get a vid for me, I'd like to see some slalom thru the light poles! TW

I wont buy the green one either, I know its a scale and that plane in that format exist , but If i wanted all those stickers on my plane , I would place send it around the world and use it for luggage . Its Ugly with a capital U , looks like a fight between the painter and the sticker guy and the sticker guy one !!! .
Sorry , love P40ties and will buy the silver version , but not the green !!!!
