Gaui 330x--cam mount and video Tx/Rx

Hi! This is my first post here on RC...I hope I'm posting in the right place!

My cousins and I are planning on getting our first quad, and experimenting with photography. We've looked at about everything we can find and decided on the Gaui 330x as one of the best options under $1000.

So, 1: Is it possible to get a decent LIGHT mount and 1 servo under $150 (specifically adaptable to the 330x)? Or should I settle for just the mount without servos at first? We're thinking of using the GoPro Hero...unless anyone has a better suggestion.

And 2: what would be the cheapest decent video Tx/Rx (also specifically adaptable to the 330x)? I don't think we need a huge range to start with...maybe 300 feet? Would that be sufficient for starting amateur aerial photography?

there is tons of threads about this..

1. "HobbyKing Quadcopter Frame V1" is a cheap and light chassi with cam-mount and weigh around 200gr

2. again, there is lots of "plug and play" fpv Tx7Rx kits..

Gtx--thanks. Is the HobbyKing Quad Frame V1 compatible with the Gaui 330x? That's the main reason I'm asking here, because I don't know how to tell if a particular mount will fit the 330x or not. Oh, and I'm not necessarily thinking of going FPV--I just need a simple feedback, on the laptop or wherever is cheapest.

Nathan:

We have the Gaui mounts specifically made for the 330X here:

http://www.allerc.com/gaui-330x-one-...-s-p-5949.html

They show out of stock but we got them in today and as soon as they are checked in they will be back in stock. We also got the 330X and a bunch of other spare parts in stock today.

You can find the kit here:

http://www.allerc.com/advanced_searc...ywords=g-21000

I recommend if you are mainly buying this for aerial photography, that you consider buying the FY90 combo that we offer on the above link. The FY90Q has a built in stabilizer and will do better for that platform.

Thanks ALLeRC. Excuse my newbness, but I wondered--
1: Is the FY-90Q Gyro/Stabilizer combo actually a flight stabilizer, or just a stabilizer for the camera mount? What all does it do?
2: How much extra weight does it add to the quad?

All e RC, one more question:

3: Trying to decide which components to get as a combo and which to get separately. I didn't find a list of what the 330x-FY90 combo included on your site. Could you tell me which of the following it has?

a. GAUI 330X S Quad-Flyer S Version Kit
b. Scorprion Brushless Motor X 4
c. Speed Control GAUI 10A ESC X 4
d. APLUS 2200mAh-25C 2S1P
e. LiPo 3s Charger
f. FY90Q Gyro/Stabilizer

Thanks so much! I want to get this thing.

Not to cut allrc off, but th fy90q is a brain like the gu344, In the fy90 combo you dont get the gu344, it comes with the fy90 instead and it comes with the 4esc's and scorpion motors.

Thank you! Do you have any idea how the two compare, or where I can find out?

Nathan:

The 330X FY90 combo has a, b, c and f. you will need to purchase a battery and charger separately. we recommend a three cell lipo and a good quality charger that you can grow into for your future hobby needs.

Thank you. You are correct. That is what is included.
