New Flight Board for Multi Rotor Craft

Hello all,

It has been a wild ride since I got interested in multi rotor.

From the get go .. I was interested in a board that used the following sensor array, and was compact.

WM+, or ITC-3200
ADXL345
BMP085
and.. BOB-08745 (for 3 volt setup)

Well after much waiting.. and waiting and waiting.. and more waiting here it is.

Well here is my own self review,

PROS
1. Its my own board so you know I have to love it.

2. It allows for many configuration.

3. In addition to (ITC-3200,ADXL345,BMP085,BOB-08745)
You can still use the standard ( WM+, NK or BMP020)

4. There is a pad marked ( 3v-****)
This is just an additional 3v pad that I added for any other 3v sensors that come up for future development and testing.

5. Compact Size ( You can mount sensor above or below )
Original Idea was to mount - ITC3200 below and ADMXL345 above.

6. I pulled out all the unused pins for any future development,
  • Pins - D8
  • Pins - A0
  • Pins - A1
  • Pins - A2
  • Pins - A3

COSN

1. Mount hole pattern ( sorry guy )
this was before I learned there was a "standard" 45mm hole pattern

2. bottom left mounting hole is very close to a trace you will have to use small bolt to not damage it.

TESTING

I have already tested with the standard.. WM+ setup that many people are running.. and tested with BMP020 - that works as normal.

I'm going to be offering these up for free to any one who want to test with - 3V sensor. I only have small qty - 10 to give out.

PM me for details.

Great for if you want to upgrade overtime

Just had some flight with it, great!.

What I like about the board is that you can start with a WM+ / NC and add sensors to your need so almost any combination is possible for any budget.

The quality of the PCB is great, the holes are large enough to use the pin headers.

Overtime a have a bunch of sensors that came very handy now, I even will drop in a magneto now because the 2nd version (73) of 1.7Pre it is supported.

Great job

Talk about being in the right place at the right time... I'm on the list for one of these boards... only found the MultiWii site a few days ago.

Currently have a homebuilt quad with a kkcontroller.

Frank is that the motion plus board on the back of your board in the pic?

Is it possible to use only the motion plus board for quad control?

I think I'm correct in thinking that is the part with the gyros?

I'm thinking of just using that to start if possible and though its a bit pricey going with Sparkfuns's ITG3200/ADXL345 combo board sooner or later.

Yes you can fly a Quad with only the WM+.

On one Pic there is a WM+ which was removed when I put on the ITC-3200 gyro.

You can make any combination the only sensor that is always needed is a gyro, so a WM+ or a ITC-3200.

Example: Only WM+ or WM+ with Magneto, WM+ with Baro, etc...

Only ITC-3200 or ITC-3200 with Mageneto, etc.. you get the picture
