Not in these pics. Which one were you talking about Steve?

Not enough to be concerned about. I don't race these, but do like to squeeze out all the speed I can. Foremost is keeping it going. A broken impeller can just ruin my day!

Lookin' a little snazzier now! I know the "paint" looks black in the pic, but it's actually a really dark blue. I'm going to call it "Midnight Blue Sharpie" in the vein of Midnight Blue Metallic.

Also, add Spot Shot instant carpet stain remover to the list of things that will remove the silly original paint job!

Now to try and get some sleep while high on sharpie and carpet cleaner fumes!

the last two pictures you posted on the last page are the proboat jets. i may be mistaken but they have the huge plastic cover and 6 screws holing them down.

No, they are 25mm ABC Hobby jet ski drives. But I can see why you thought that, they look quite similar. When the Proboat drives came out, we thought they were just scaled down ABC drives. But they had other differences, so probably not.

Nice to see you back Sundogz, and I completely agree about needing a screen.

You see, Chi. It's not always just about avoiding flooring the throttle when you are grounded. If you have streams with lots on peagravel on the bed, and a strong current as in rocky streams in mountain areas, you can be in 6 inches of water or more and stuff can still be sucked in. I know you'd be crawlin' if you had the places to do it, but you lakedwellers don't know how lucky you are. You only have to deal with twigs the size of Greece And an unfortunate habit of pushing the envelope just that bit too far. As in trying a 5s pack

Very snazzy indeeed. The two-tone look really compliments the boat. and on my screen it doesn't look black. Or blue. It looks like a deep purple colour and amazin' . And what is that scoop you've got there. That also looks good.

Hi Gang
Just a little more net surfin before I get myself in real trouble with the wife and order Steves SicRC complete boat for $260 including shipping. Found a basic NQD Tear Into in USA, and not even far away in Cincinnati, OH for $51 including shipping. Had em in white and yellow. A white one will come in a brown truck by Tuesday next week.

I am going to look at my current motor collection before ordering all of the "best practices" stuff, but will want at least a water cooling plate for a brushless outrunner. I have a bunch of ESCs and a watercooling plate might keep them alive for a while. Do any of you have some quick and reasonable US sources for the watercooling stuff?

I use Corrosion X on all of my boats and seaplanes. I've had receivers swimming for over 10 minutes without issue. Since I won't see open water for quite a while where I live I may be able to rebuild it correctly even before boating season.

Boat's coming from http://www.radiocontrolledtoysonline...o-rc-jet-boat/

Thanks John
I didn't see any of the plate type coolers for brushless outrunners, but they sure have all the rest of the stuff.

Have any of you used the jet drive that was in the ProBoat Decoy for other projects?

It's only $19.99 at ProBoats http://www.proboatmodels.com/Product...ProdID=PRB3656 or Horizon.

I was kind of interested in putting one into this toy ski boat, (the one I want swimsuited mice or chipmunks driving).

PS I may need a micro capable taxidermist too!
