International DS Week

We have people from around the world comming out to fly Weldon and so-Cal this spring. So From April 1st through aprill 10th there will be a nice get together of pilots from Europe and Australia DS'ing in the so-cal area

I beleive that on Sunday April 10 Joe Manor will be Catering food for everyone attending

I know I will be there for around a week and here are a few others that I know are comming.

Patrick Hausler
Thomas Wackerlin
Jochen Linhardt
Anton Singh
Eric Smith
Andrew Von Berky
Sean Moloney
Nick Stong

I'm sure there will be alot of locals there too.

I just thought I'd post this because it's a great chance to meet the people that are on the DS forum from around the world and have a good time together doing what we love to do.

It sure will be nice to hang out with everyone.

Please chime in if you are comming

Nice post Nick glad to hear that you will be there as well. I look forward to meeting and flying with all you guys over there. It is something I think every ds'er dreams of doing and I never thought I would be able to make it.

Astan has had his trip planned for ages and he asked if I wanted to come about 1 year ago. I assumed I wouldn't be able to make it. The other day I mentioned to my lovely wife Ali that Astan was going over, and she said "Are you going with him?" I almost fell over. It is my 40th this year and this is her gift to me, to let me go to California, DS Mecca, and fly the best hills with the biggest dogs and ds junkies. I cannot wait to get there. Thanks Astan for planting the seed, and to my family and friends for twisting my arm. Only just over 2 weeks to get ready.

I will bring my BBQ and cook for the event. There will be plenty of food to go round. Gotta keep you speed demons comfortable. See you there!

The main day is Sunday April 3rd but people will be flying in the area for a couple of weeks. I myself will be around for about a week.

Carnt wait for the reports , The boys..nick names...Asto ( last slope indian) and ezza ( coffee farmer, or farmer) are going to love it , flying a good zone with out tree's , birds , cows , jumping out in front of them...... croc's , snapping at your feet , kangaroo's jumping past and knocking your tx out of your hands.
How are they going to fly well , with nothing to dodge ??????? They wont know what to do with all that clear sky....

I really want to make this event and see the Aussies on our turf

It was great meeting everyone at the Manilla Slope Fest and it would be good to catch up at Weldon. Ezza and Asto have some incedible skills. Tim, wish you were coming too. I'll see you in September if you go to MSF again. It'd be nice to see your planes ripping Weldon up
