Hope you're feeling better Jim. It can take a few weeks to fully recover from pneumonia, so go easy for a while.

Welcome to the reality, of using today's reformulated, better for the environment, Government mandated, paints, and resins, etc. The product that worked for you last time, may have been reformulated, AND, they did not tell you. I cringe, and hold my breath, every time I have to go by new materials!! CaptCB

Larry your Lil Salty looks awesome! I haven't built the new roof design from the wheelhouse plans yet, how did the parts fit together for you? I thought the wheelhouses on mine looked unfinished with just a flat piece of plywood on there so I drew up that hat, now she's a little bit of a trawler too! I'm thinking about adding some nets and rope and perhaps carving some fish to go in my little galvanized pail.

JayJay, i had to adjust the roof bridge panels a little but that may have been my bad, .The general shape was there, over all the plans i think are great. i really like Marters stack and hope i can get mine looking as good as his. when i finish this Salty i plan to build one or two more at 12 inch hulls and have fun with different wheel house designs. i just love Springers where every one does their own thing above decks lol. i am beginning to see Bozinators wisdom in keeping models 12 inches or so to cut down on materials and faster builds, also easy to HIDE from the wife lol lol

Is there any disadvantage to putting a coat of finishing resin on the inward side of the hull sides before attaching them? Doing it after attaching may be difficult. I am using 1/32 ply for the sides.

Jim, XLNT! What size motor can you stuff into it? I stll think a 'toon crackerbox would be cool.
As far as stuffing box, I had a hard time finding the right length. Thought it might make sense to fabricate my own so I can make it the exact length I want. I am going to use the one I bought for now.

I like it a lot Larry, has a traditional. look. It looks like you will be creating a new transom. Can you draw your changes and share?
