my brother installed the 6020 tail boom on his s107. it works perfectly with the stock tail blade. for some reason it doesn't work properly when he installs the air hogs tail blade. it barely moves forward.

does anyone know why this is happening?

I think the S107 moves forward using the tail rotor to tip the thing forward.

Several things could be causing your situation. The replacement rotor could be just heavy enough to make it imbalanced toward the back. You might try putting a counterbalance weight toward the front. Maybe tape a paperclip or coin onto the front, see if it helps.

Or it could be that for some reason the tail rotor is not getting the thrust it should. Is it placed upside down or bent?

Is the tail rotor spinning as it just hovers? Does it move backward but just not forward?

If all else fails just use the one that works.

thats part of the reason, the other is that an air hogs prop will not give you increased forward speed on the 6020 motor over a 6020 prop, stick with the rounded prop that was designed for that motor

really weird. looks like this guy got his to work. i don't think that its a weight issue. the stock prop works perfectly fine and the air hogz prop wouldn't add that much wait for it to barely move forward.
