The 2011 S.A.E Heavy Lift collegiate competition (http://students.sae.org/competitions/aerodesign/east/) will be held in Acworth, GA on April 30th and May 1st, 2011. Sponsored by Lockheed Martin and Hosted by the Cobb County Radio Control Modeling Club (www.ccrc.info). Come watch the excitement and maybe get a glimpse at the future of aviation.

If you missed this it is a shame. 2 days, 74 Participating Universities from around the world. Some very Unique designs and Lockheed Martin in the middle!
The University of Cincinnati walked away with top honors in the regular class and Warsaw university took top place in the Advanced class. The Micro Class was exciting with many unique designs and very unpredictable flights. University of Cincinnati again took first place.
