Hi Guys,
Every time a crash I find the main gear has twisted on the main shaft. The flat spot is no longer on the flat spot of the main shaft. I find that I lose power at that point. I guess this is due to the extra pressure on the motor. Do you guys think I should change the main shaft out. It might be getting worn out? |

Yes, absolutely. The gear plastic is softer than the CF shaft and thusly gets "rounded out", no longer seating cleanly on the shaft. Happens from too many crashes, wear and tear kinda thang. The more crashes, the more rounded out it gets. When I was first learning the MCPx mine did the same. Tossed it for a new one. ~B |

I had to pull the landing gear off to get that kind of fat fingered access to push the gear back up. The flats are lined up that was never the problem. I had to re-bind a few times to get the pitch back to center holding the left rudder until the blue light lit solid was the key for me. Letting it go before that threw it off.

Oddly enough, there hasn't been a single report of bearing failure since the B grips were released, and there's no obvious reason for that either (unless it was caused by a bad batch of bearings) |
