Just tryed mine out in the yard. Made my first crash also
Flyes still so no worries.
Loved the fealing but the wind got the better of me.
Need more practice on the 120SR

I won one of these about 2 months ago..have had about 70+ flights on it..flies teriffic....have crashed it and no real damage but popped links and the main shaft getting pushed up..pop it back in place..replace the link and back to good. I have the blade recall blade grips..but no failures to date. It's making me a better heli pilot..love it...

The first part of your question... Some may say the B grips fly better...but I didn't notice much difference, methinks most people felt the same.....? They're just redesigned so the blade doesn't fly off if the bearing fails.


What a trip coming in from a morning of all-out outdoor pattern fixed wing flying, then grabbing the MCPx for a few living room flights...lol! Neat how the human brain can easily "switch gears" like that...

Hi Guys,
Every time a crash I find the main gear has twisted on the main shaft. The flat spot is no longer on the flat spot of the main shaft. I find that I lose power at that point. I guess this is due to the extra pressure on the motor. Do you guys think I should change the main shaft out. It might be getting worn out?

Yes, absolutely. The gear plastic is softer than the CF shaft and thusly gets "rounded out", no longer seating cleanly on the shaft.

Happens from too many crashes, wear and tear kinda thang. The more crashes, the more rounded out it gets. When I was first learning the MCPx mine did the same. Tossed it for a new one.

My b sets were a lot tighter so for me they flew much better and are really snappy.

have any of you seen the new tail assembly? the motor is now in a cage and there is no way the end cap can come off anymore.

I had to pull the landing gear off to get that kind of fat fingered access to push the gear back up. The flats are lined up that was never the problem. I had to re-bind a few times to get the pitch back to center holding the left rudder until the blue light lit solid was the key for me. Letting it go before that threw it off.

There's no logical reason why they should fly any better, unless your old one was worn or bent.

Oddly enough, there hasn't been a single report of bearing failure since the B grips were released, and there's no obvious reason for that either (unless it was caused by a bad batch of bearings)
