OK well, as asked for, here are some photos of the Glo-Star 1017 box and info. As you can see, it's a nice bright box... and I can't read a lot of what it says on it.

I have a few other vintage glow engines I haven't posted photos of before, so here goes.

This is the Anderson Royal Spitfire .065.

Here is my copy of the Enya 06 II TV. As you can see from the photos the screws are pretty messed up. I can't seem to get the throttle barrel to turn no matter how much heat, acetone or WD-40 I use. Oh well... it looks cool from a few feet away.

Speaking of Enya, here is my only marine engine to date. It's an Enya 19 model 4004 and I snagged it dirt cheap. I'm quite happy with it. Notice the residue around the water jacket. I think that's some sort of excess epoxy. Would it actually have come from the manufacturer like that?

Playing with my Fox 1.20 twin prior to using it in a airplane. I even get to use a matched set of tilt up and down Fox Quiet Mufflers on it too. They look like a left and right version in the horizontal position.

I had used it before. One day I was going through my mufflers looking for something, and I noticed that I had both a tilt up and a tilt down quiet muffler. Then I had a eureka moment. I had bought the new muffler at a hobby shop a while back and didn't notice right away it had the opposite tilt that I needed for the twin.
So that allowed me to have a left and a right quiet muffler for the Fox twin.

I am putting it on a extra large Ugly Stick plane. That way people can see the engine and be in awe of it. Something like a 80 inch wingspan with 1300 square inches of wing area.

Sounds good. Please post a pic when you get it done.

I will do. I also have a Ultimate Bipe I had considered putting it in too. But with the Dual exhaust, either I need to make a custom Pitts muffler setup or cut up a sizable portion of the cowl to clear the mufflers. Plus the engine sticks out of the front more, about 1.5 inches. I really didn't want to cut down the motor mount extension box frame to set the engine back farther. So I thought I would use the big Ugly stick for a while at first while I decide if I want to use the engine on the Ultimate Bipe or not.

What can you tell me about it?

Martin, the September 1976 issue of Aeromodeller apparently has a bit of information on the Meteor - yours for 10 bucks, or maybe someone has that issue they could scan for us.
