At first glance, you could be forgiven for thinking that this is a sparkie. It is actually a glow engine - a 1948 H & H 45 actually. Only about 120 of these were ever built by Ken Howie Sr. and Charles Heuer of Norristown, PA. What makes this thing special is, the glow element is actually built into the head, which explains why (instead of a plug) it has a short, threaded post on top for attaching a battery lead to.
