Exquisite MOKI TR-9 2.5cc.......

Now, THAT'S a model aeroplane !

A selection of the Spanish ZOM engines - advert for the 1.7 (very similar looking to the Webra of the same size), the MVVS looking 3.5, and lastly (from the Rojo collection) the 2.5. Anyone know who actually made them for Modelhob ? Little information is available on the ZOM's.

Those giant planes are pretty neat. But are they even legal at AMA contests? I thought there was a weight limit on big planes.
When they get that big, I don't even want to flip the prop to start them anymore.

I've been trying to find this file for a while now. People who know the name Roy L. Clough are aware of his being a designer of often unusual models, but he also designed this engine.

50+, you're probably thinking of the MAN 19, which appeared in a couple of issues of Model Airplane News in the early 1950's. The construction article was written by E.C. (Ted) Martin, and the engine itself bore a remarkable resemblance to the AMCO 3.5 BB Diesel - not surprising, as Ted designed both of 'em ! Ted also did the Engine Tests for MAN before Peter Chinn started.

I do have some dalloglio engines but not this one. Looks very nice

How about this one ? Built and flown by a Belgian friend of mine, a Stearman.
Powered by a Valach R7-8000 radial. Picture taken at this years La Ferté meeting. Huge airfield in the middle of the countryside and that collection they have in the museum, all flying as well. This was a German airbase in WW1.
