Is there a kit of the RFE that comes with a variety of common frequency antennas, to be used for analyzing at those bands/ranges?

I haven't seen such a kit but the supplied Nagoya-antenna that comes with the WSUB1G or 3G combo works quite well for most.

Did you have some specific measurements you think about?

We do not have additional antennas or kits available beyond what comes with RF Explorer already. As boopidoo pointed out the NA 773 is a good all around antenna, actually the best one I have tested so far in that price range and compact telescopic format, and I've tested many.

SeeedStudio won't be offering additional antennas anytime soon because you have to get 500-1000 antennas of every model to call for a reasonable cost and the expectation is most users won't need them.

Check on chinarf ebay online shop, they have reasonable quality antennas for most common bands at competitive price ranges.

Hope this helps.

I didn't test that one but log periodic antennas are very good. However, assembling the cable in the right place is not trivial for right antenna impedance adjust, so make sure you get the instructions from the seller for a 50ohm assembly.

It looks like WA5VJB doesn't make that LPA antenna any more and the only one for sale on eBay was $250 + shipping. Do you by chance know where else to get one? I'd imagine they are tricky to make? Thanks.

I like the log periodic antennas. Quite amazing antenna for this application. I have access to an Agilent Fieldfox spectrum analyzer at work, along with a host of other high end tools, so I'm confident I'll be able to accurately connect the antenna as needed.

So isn't this an ideal opportunity for you to sell an upgraded antenna? I for one would pay, within reason of course, for a tested and assembled log periodic antenna.

It is, thanks for the suggestion. I will check on this option once the 2 new "things" under development are in better shape.

There are some semi-rigid SMA short cables that may be the right application for this...
