Windrider EPO Fox to Swit S-1 conversion

Inspired by a message in the Windrider Fox build thread, I decided to convert my EPO Fox into a Swift S-1.
1, Cut off the fin and make a new Swift S-1 fin and rudder.
2, Cut off the wing tip and make it sqare.
3, Cut off the stab at the tip and also make it square.
4, Cut off the wheel well and fill with foam and spackle.
5, Fill the rear canopy window with spackle.
Now I am waiting for maiden.
Thanks are due for those who helped acquiring Swift S-1 logo.

Now back to B737.

It IS Semi-scale. So, a new tail section, a new canopy and a sticker to mask the rear canopy is all thats needed for a simple conversion kit. Yes, Ming, such conversion kit would be nice.

Successful maiden!

Yep, she flew. And she flew nice. The wind gods were not so cooperative, unfortunately, because every five minutes or so, the lift died. But I was able to wring her out and check out her performance.
Tissue and WBPU really added to the flight characteristics and performance by making the wing rigid. Converted Swift did nice rolls and loops. Something my first Windrider EPP Fox, which was built stock without covering, had a hard time doing. Wing was too flexible.
A keeper for sure.
Thanks are due to Takahashi-san of R/C Technique magazine for taking these photos. Now I gotta finish my conversion article for them. Fun never stops.

The massive quake yesterday took a minor toll. A vase fell on the stab of the Swift. No other damage. My self as well as my family are all safe and well. Now every member of the family have a story to tell about yesterday. How we made contact to each other and how we made it back home. I drove 6 hours to get home when it usually takes an hour or so.
I am worried about the safety of my friends and their family in Tohoku region which was hit hard by Tsunami.
From Tokyo.
