Suggestions for IXUS 105/powershot 1300IS
The battery is a NB6l Li-ION 1000mah and I am afraid it would be a little short. Is it a way to put a better power on this camera and being able to take picture longer that 2,5 hours?

Yes, and you can save weight, too. Take a block of balsa and shave it down to the exact size of the battery. Cut two little copper squares to use as contacts on the end of the balsa block. Solder small wires like servo wires 24 or 28ga to the copper squares and glue the copper onto the end of the balsa block where the regular battery contacts would be. Run the wires to a 3.3v regulator (assuming your camera battery is 1 cell lith ion) and connect that to your rx using a regular servo connector. Instead of the voltage reg some people have used a diode in series which drops the voltage down to ~4v which is close enough for the camera. Now your camera will be running off the lipo in your plane. You should save weight because a block of balsa with 28ga wire weighs less than your old camera battery. That's assuming you won't have to upgrade to a larger lipo in the plane due to the camera load.
