Great to see pictures of your stinger Kjell. I was thinking of a square or rectangular ballast tube for the fuse too

I`m hoping to maiden mine in March sometime, there is not much daylight up here for the moment. When are you receiving yours?

I have found some nice brass square section in my garage in an old box that was my Fathers.
Looks very grubby, but weights around 800g.
Looking at my ascot I could get around half of this in a tube running from the end of the servo tray to just about the trailing edge of the wing.
You guys have me thinking.

Mine is due towards the end of March.
I loved my Ascot and couldn't resist a Stinger it really does look promising and you know the build is going to be good.
Just a standard double carbon lay up and no RDS for me though, your lay up looks like it would be good for anything!

Wow, that's a superb looking model you have there Speedmaster, I'm envious. Congrats to Gunga too, I didn't realise that you had one of these beasts on order Pete...coming to a HoH event very soon I trust?

Dya know lads, one of my GREAT pleasures in life is when a new F3x mouldie comes out, and I then get to debate the pros and cons to the new design features/ unique design logic displayed by each new one with myself. Even better when I get to debate it with a fellow detail freak (step forward Greg and Mark LOL!)

And I have to say, I really am especially an admirer of this particular one. It's hard to resist despite my new policy! I really hope 2012 goes well professionally! There's so much I'd LOVE to get my hands on!!!

But after a re-read I realised what you said.

This Stinger and the Rotmilan are on my radar, but not discounting the Arsen or the Toxic either.

The Euro is going the right way for us chaps, we just need to hand on.

Have you had any conditions for a maiden yet?
It would be good to see some pictures of your install... and what size is the i.d. of the joiner / ballast cavties in the wing? Need to order some brass.

Hi Pete,

Not ready yet, to much work and travelling getting in the way. Maiden will be during the Easter. I`ll post pics when I manage to crawl out of bed and get my camera... sick with the flu at the moment...

Ballast is 6 pieces 10x9x170mm and 2 pieces 11x11x110mm. I also made a 10x10x400mm tube in the fuse.

Thanks for the ballast info. May need to squeeze a little more into the fuse if I can, aiming for about 1.6kg capacity...
