my new vector kite

my new vector-kite is based on a delta. i used a 9 foot delta from gomberg-kites, cutting the keel and shorten the leading edge. the result is a delta platform with a very long center stick for perfect flight-stability. power gives the vector-unit-generation-I from premier. the rc-kite is complete framed with 5mm cfk. in compare to a single line delta, the stick at the leading edge goes from the trailing edge to the nose. If you want to fly this rc-kite as a single line, you need to add a lot of tails. that works and looks great in the sky. with the rc-equipment the kite shows an excellent gliding rate. i will add a video during the next weeks. first enjoy the pictures

Mr Noose is watching in the garden

i make tests to fly my vectorkites in a small garden. kite shown in the video is the Mr. Noose 2-D-kite (see thread figurative kites, page 3).
i set the CoG step by step backwards (by changing the lipo position) and look for the position still before the kite begins to hover, then i have excellent manoeuverebility for garden-flying !

rokkaku-rc-vector-kite

the rokkaku ("rok") is a very traditional kite.
i made several tests, but with the original frame position, the rok was a very bad flyer.
so i changed the complete frame strukture, only the sail shape is original rokkaku.
with my new developed frame, the rok is now a very good vector-kite, fly`s loops, rolls and makes other crazy stunts.
photos shown my RC-Ninja-Rokkaku equiped with a 2-D-unit, but for acrobatic i add a 3-D-unit.

circle vector kite

working on a new spectacular rc-kite: the vector circle.
the vector-circle is based on the air-yo, a flying toy designed by Tim Elverston, produced by newtech kites.
i will inform you about my progress, enjoy first fotos of the prototype (with a lot of tape!). photos shown the 2-D version, but i like to build it in 3-D and maybe in 4 D.

circle/round vector kites

you can see a first video of the vector-circle in rc-kite thread 2-D-vector units.

....after the success with the vector-circle i was looking at other "round" kites in my big kite collection and find the traditional "hakkaku" kite.
The hakkaku kite has more sailsurface, so i think the climbing and gliding rate will be much better. i will inform you. (commercial scratching is not allowed, all rights reserved)

forward-backward kite / transformer kite

the advantage of a vector unit is to add it to different kites.
another possibility is to add it in different positions to one kite.
i made first experiments. what i like to create is a kite with differnt flight performence.
enjoy photos of my first forward-backward pointer kite. i have to add two more sticks for backward flying, but transforming from forward to backward takes less than one minute.

sheet-rc-kite / square-rc-kite / poster-rc-kite

i am looking for a very easy to build rc-kite-design and developed the rc-square-vectorkite ( sheet-kite ?/ poster kite?).
it is maybe possible to glue the complete kite (no sewing!) and use other stuff instead of spinnaker
.....so maybe next time, i let the newspaper in the air or my favorite poster!!!
enjoy first pictures of my new spinnaker-yellow-poster-vector-kite

I am estimating your sail at about 24 inches by 30 inches. Is that about right?
