The standard painted and RTF without battery is 6oz. The Beefy will be about 6.5oz.

I had a great time at the event so if you are not too far away you should consider it for next year.

Got mine in the mail with some scrap foam. Going to see how the flatbed takes to the substrate today. First impression is it may be hard to get good adhesion due to the substrate flexibility. Should have a test run in a day or two.

Mine is painted but no photos yet. It pretty much looks like this Illustrator file I started with.
the dark blue is dark purple on the final. Tonight I paint the name on since i just cut cad stencils for airbrushing.

may be a few days before print. Sure enough we are set to pull more revenue by april then we usually do in an entire year. As soon as I can get time on the Fuji I'll send you the samples you sent me.

There was finally a break in the weather and I was able to maiden the Freestyle this morning. Nothing exciting, 2 clicks of aileron and the plane flew straight and level. The suggested 3" CG was spot on and the plane flew inverted hands off. Rolls were fast even though I was limited by one of my aileron servos (I used 2) to 30 degrees only. Rolling circle could be done in a small circle although I needed to get used to the rudder as it seemed very responsive. KE from right to left had no coupling. However, KE left to right had a lot of coupling. If not manually corrected, it would fly a nice KE circle. Everything looked straight and so will have to do some more experimentation. Hover was stable and easy as was harrier. Although, my 32" e-foamy Edge seemed more stable in hover and harrier. I did not try more violent maneuvers such as KE spin or blender as I did not have a strap on the battery yet and I did not want to lose a battery in flight. I tried 2S with a GWS 9x5 DD and 3S with an APC 8x3.8. Just like the Edge, I like 2S better. With 3S, things just seemed more sensitive; more much so than the Edge on 3S. Again, all the initial impression was from just 2 flights and I am sure they would change once I have more time to dial in everything and try more maneuvers.

Thanks for the flight report. I remember trying KE in both directions. I will try it on mine again. You might see if you are getting tail twist in one direction but not the other.
