12s2p 10000mA lipos and @10kW.

Anyone know if the 6kW Finedesign Nemesis Gold motors are any good???

I could perhaps go with 2 of those for the price of one Plettenberg motor.... but the Plettenberg motors I have bought in the past (6 years ago) are still good as new and I'm willing to invest in their biggest boat motor just for the fact I trust their engineering and product from experience. I have the batteries and charging gear already used for my planes, what better idea than to have a Mystic c5000 of my own making for the beach!

Also, I think the CC 160HV ESC with a cooling jacket would work, anyone try one of these ESC for 12s and @8000kW?

Anyway, Thanks

Fine Design Nemisis motors are just Leopards rebranded !!!

Neu 2030 or CC2028 then.

The quality of Leopard motors seems to be less than I like to bank on.

If you can afford the Plett's then go the Plett's.

I would scrounge & save every cent to afford those motors, they have an unbeatable reputation for reliability.

Well, in my ears. Not sure what others have heard.

I agree.....

The Plettenberg Orbit outrunner motors for my airplanes are 5 years old, and other than light oil on the original bearrings, they are still as good/powerful as new. BEST motors I own...........

But, arn't the marine motors Brushed?

I'm ok with the Neu 2030 motor and CC240 ESC idea, will have to budget it but I like to have great equipment.

Well, scroll all the way down on this list and you'll find the marine brushless motors. Plenty to choose from...

Same price ranges as the Lehner motors, so you can choose any of them fro extra high quality. Lehner just introduced a "find motor" option, so it's quite easy to choose:

On test it perform ok, stability and manevrability is ok, but with 4082/1400 Kv and 6S lipo single setup, top speed is only about 70 km/h.
Will try this setup on 8S-9S
