40cc grass cutter engine doesnt have enough RPM. I think so.
Check your RPM at full throtle, if you can.
Check this engines: http://www.mhz-powerboats.com/mhzpow...d096c4823e1c0e
If you go electric:
Hope this helps.

i dont think you gonna manage it fastelectric wise easily.
an 8ft hull is a seriously big hull.
The weedy engines are no good.
If it that big youll want 2 x RCMK 520 or or 2 x twin zenoahs will move it.
but wouldnt like say how fast.
How fast you want it???

Lot of people wanted this so... Here it is Free plan for 1:12 Mystic 5000 V2. (1140 mm long)
Unzip it & enjoy.
Itīs in CDR format so you need Corel X5 to open.
Also included many vector decals (Geico, JBS, Corvette, Bud light).
If some mistakes discovered, please let me know.
Happy build to all.

Look at the sizes you have been advised of so far.
Do some research on different brands. Plettenberg is one if you have lots of $$.
Down the bottom of that page you'll find a 'katamaran' class showing a 180cm hull & the motors & props recommended.
bis 180 cm
2 x HP 370BM/50/A1 S 57 - 63mm Carbon prop
2 x HP 355BM/45/4 Evo. 70mm Carbon prop
Google the motor & see what it looks like.
Scrap that, they are brushed motors.
