I building this cat based on your plans and i have allmost finish the wood work and i am almost ready to reinforce it with fiberglass and epoxy resin.
my big problem is that i dont have any idea how to make the hull cover and copkit!!! as i see in your photos you have made it from wood to.
Do you have any plans for this? it will realy help me to move on becuse i have stop everething trying to find a solution that will have a good result, i dont want o use foam or something allse just wood.
Allso the 3d plan you have post with 1-12 steps with what program i sould open it? with autocad i can't see it 3d (or i dont know how to do)

After the first step of my Mystic 400 (40cm length cf page 9) there is the second one, 45cm length and now the speed is 91km/h (X430/R-2xLeo 2040/4450kV-3S/1000), with a run with an average speed of 88km/h for 100m.

Apart from that's fast, I thought it was much bigger until the guy picked it up!

By the way, this goes for everyone, please don't encourage your videographers to use the zoom when filming.
They always miss half the run!!

Since the last post I have replaced the Leo 4450kV with Leo 4800kV (timing 22.5°) and I passed the wall of 100 km/h !!!
I think it is a great performance for this size ! (for the curious the Photomate file is there)

I will make a video after the holidays.

I've been inspired to repair my boat tonight after my WOT impact with a submerged tree.

I too will have some footage once back on the water. New paint scheme to come too, no more Genesis paint.

I have a big problem with the direction not yet solved ... (a motor stops when I engage and sometimes during the run !)

It stops because your at the thermal limit of the ESC, so it shuts down to save it self and cool down.
The slow running at the end of each run is REALLY heating it up.

Thank you for your response.
But the problem is very complexe, I will try to explain it.

At the start, the middle or the end of the run, the problem is there. I run for 4-5 minutes and the ending voltage is about 3.85V.

The pb is when I turn on the both sides : the inside motor stops (right when I turn to the right and left when I turn to the left).
I inverted ESCs, changed motors, batteries, two different digital servos. I used one integrated BEC, two integrated BEC, changed the position on the receiver ...

I use two Turnigy Marine 35A with integrated BEC, two Nano-Tech 3S/1000mA (4 pairs) directly plugged on the ESC, a Spektrum AR6200.

The only things I didn't change are the receiver and one ESC.

I wil try to run without the servo, then with an other receiver ...
