I modified my syma s107 (removing lots of stuff) and now getting over 11min of flight time. Has anyone been able to get 15min...or more?

Wow, until now, we were all tied for 1st place... at 5 minutes each.

I'm never sure quite what they're talking about.

Is this sustained forward flight (chasing it?)? Or a sustained hover? Or is this so many minutes of flight with inter-cooldowns on a single charge.

Seems to me we have apples, oranges, figs, and quinces here potentially. What are the ground rules?

This is with flying around the whole time. Without stopping.

A few months ago, I reported a 7 minute flight on my totally box stock S107, and was met with skepticism. That S107 has been replaced by another, but I took the battery out, and it is in use by another heli. Still going strong.

But those flight times are really impressive!

i've ran my 7 min a few times in the beginning when i didn't know any better but if you do that constantly it won't last much and true that they can be swapped for cheap but then you also have the issue with motors

Is there a thread here on nice little timers that will clip to the Tx? There's always Velcro too I suppose.

Be great to have one that had a beep/buzz each minute and just an illuminated display of minutes. I don't think I need one that times in the hours range.

i've seen those timers posted for cheap across threads a few times, doubletap has posted them i think from amazon or ebay for like a dollar a pop but if you have dollar store in your area im sure you can find them there as well

This one is pricey then ($10 at Amazon) but has a few things I like:

Select either a bright flashing yellow LED visual alarm or an audible alarm. A memory recalls the last timer setting for reuse.

Short warning alarms sound at 3 and 5 minutes prior to the final 30-second alarm. Automatically records elapsed time following the alarm for up for to 20 minutes, or until stopped. A memory recalls the last timer setting for repetitive tests.

So, set for 6 minutes, get an alarm at 3 minutes and 5 minutes, another at 5:30!

The cheap way:
What I did with the TX for my Micro-T was go to K-Mart and look at the chrono watches with a big display.
They run $9.99 and way under.
Take the straps off but leave the pins on and velcro or tape to your TX.
