That is a very good trick building the fixture to hold everything in alignment!!

I have a second NIB 59 and if I get it out to make a jig I am just going to talk myself into building it and scrapping this one so I will go without the jig! It is going ok so far. I just got back from our local Hobby store for some stir sticks to beef things up. Definitely a challenge to my patience so far!

In an effort to achieve perfection in my Slick line-up, I am thinking of selling my red 59" Slick so that I can buy an orange one I have an orange 51", 71" and 89", so, really should have an orange 59" unfortunately, they are not in stock...I wonder when they will be back in stock...

Mr. Big Head....what color is your spare kit?

Here's a few pics of my repair after a stalled landing and snapped my fuse in half. Braced it with carbon fiber and epoxy. Flew great didn't have to touch a trim button. And survived a few blenders at full throttle.

Had a blast flying my 59 and 42 yesterday. Now it's offical:
For the 59......the Orange flies the best. and for the 42...the red old scheme.

This was the first time I flew my 59 after the battery ejected itself a while ago. I glued a solid plywood in the battery tray and double Velcro the battery. It worked well after some poptops and crankshafts. The stability of the 59" surprised me. There were some kids playing in the middle of the school yard so I had to land her at the far left side of the yard about 400 feet away from me. After she landed, I made an U turn and taxied her back, while some kids talking to me. I guess my 59" hit a bump and took-off but I was distracted. She harriered herself around 2 feet off ground for about 200' when I finally noticed and reduced the throttle. She landed right next to me seemed like I have planned that all along..It made me looks like a hero in front of the kids!

Yes, it is REALLY awesome! But to be honest, when I turned my head and saw she was in the air by herself, I almost wet my pant...

BTW, I saw you are heading to Thailand. Maybe you should contact RCG fellow Gord Ang there, he is in a club with many Slick addicted.

Cheers mate. My flight leaves later today, I'll send gord a message. I have a few spare days whilst I am over there to look around (in between the golf tournament and a dive trip), seen his videos, would be great to go have a look and get some photos.

Have fun flying...
