How many of you have landing gears that at the top have a bend that goes level with the wing then down? My mustang has wire that goes straight down then with plastic struts...i just got replacements that have some odd 90 degree bend then go straight down that if mounted on my wings dont even come close to lining up with the wells. Did Dynam update the mustang in the last year and a half?

When the hell did they go fixed gear? I just wanted replacement lower struts...hmmm. It would make sense.

Flyby, if you look at the first post of this thread the P51 that is pictured is fixed gear, but I don't think NP ever offered it as a fixed gear.???

Lol...my girl hates how much i research but I cant believe i missed that. I research planes and parts until they are discountinued lol...I really only needed the plastic wire covers anyway but still would be nice to know that if my idea one didnt work then direct bolt on would have been option two.

Well it was a good plan, and who the heck knew the fixed version was even available. The only one I've ever seen with fixed gear was that original NP showing and figured that was just a prototype, not a production bird.
Anyone out there have a fixed gear version?

figured something out...if you cut the fixed version right at the bend it is still the same length and fits into the retract just fine!!!

I am looking at motors which isnt my strong suite. So I am looking at KV ratings and the stock is what 800kv? So I want the turnigy 3536 1000kv...but then found the 1250kv version and now found a 1450kv...what does all of that mean to me and my bird. I want something that flys like the stock motor after snorting a rail. I want pretty much the stock performance on 4s nanotech with ony being at half throttle.

Am thinking of a Suppo 3520/6 for a replacement when the stocker gives up.

If you check out post 646, I love my EMP C4240 890 KV motor. I was using a 12x6 MAS but I broke it and tried an 11x7 APC. The thing is a rocket now on 4s 2200mAh 40c. I have no regrets and it bolts right up to the stock motor mount. See pics on Post 646

FlyBy KV is RPM per Volt or their abouts if you are going 4s you will want to stay under 1000 KV depending on what prop you use I believe, I personally run a 12x8 MAS Prop on a Bigfoot 25 motor (870kv) and 2 3s 2200 lipos in parallel, I also run a 11x9 APC 4 blade for looks no where near the performance of th 2 blade but does look the part on a mustang.
On the 12x8 MAS I can take off at 3/4 throttle and at full throttle I pass my buddies F-16 EDF (yeah he is not happy bout that :P)
