OK Guys, the laser G10 Motor mounts are in!!! I decided to keep to the single AXI footprint but these can be drilled for any motor including the Hacker 20-34s! They came in at 3.5grams and are made out of 1.5mm G10 fiberglass!
Also though these were designed specific for the AXI/Mamo VPP system you could easily just use it for a strong front mount application!! These will be on the site but please feel free to send me a PM and I will send one to you for $5 each shipped!!

Thanks again for the interest!!
John

Please keep in mind there may be some dark edges from the laser!!

Hey Folks, Just wanted to update you on the mounts, I decided that having these CNCed would be the cleanest look and you now have the option of the micro bolt kit and your choice of Hacker or AXI footprint! Here is a link for ya and let me know if you have any questions, currently http://www.skipmillermodels.com/product_p/mamo_vpp.htm is the distributor for the Mamo system and I wanted to offer a mount for ease of installation!

Thanks
John

New Extra 300 Trust Vector

Hello,

Here are a few pictures of my new Extra 300 4D
The model is designed by me.

Used Components:

-AXI 2203/40 VPP
-Mamo VPP Unit 8"
-Self made Trust Vectoring Unit
-HTX500 ,E-Flight digital servos and D47 on Pitch
-Thunderpower 2S 325mAh 45C

Weight: 140g RTF

I hope I’ll have time to make a video by end of next week.

I have already built same model without VPP and it fly really really well.

Very nice Matthias! I see you are doing the super truss for the ailerons and elevator. Did you use the micro tubing, I want to try my hand at this it looks very tedious
Looking forward to the flight video, I was having fun with my vpp unit last weekend and want to design a tvr motor mount.
Thanks
John

No I do not use tubes, they are standard carbon robs.

The main robs on the airfoil have 1,0mm.
On the aileron and elevator I use 1.0mm, 0.8mm and 0.5mm. It depends on the length of the rob.
I always use the thinnest one which do not flex too much.

On the outlines of the plane I use 3mmx0.13mm carbon flat bars.

When I started balding my first plane with these carbon bracings I was scared that it will add to much weight to the plane.
But It is not so much weight I thought.

My non milled version without the bracing has a wait of 130g.

This one has 140g with VPP unit and extra servo for the vector.

All that bracing makes the plane so much stiffer and more robust. It feels better in the air and
It does not damage so much if you crash.

Very nice !
It looks so much to the Rj Gritter's plane. Why did you use 8"? 9" works so much better with this motor !
Why did you put an extra servo for the vector? You use it all the time or only when you use reverse pitch ?
Me, I'm scare to don't use cables for the vector servo because I think if you touch the prop on the gound, you can break the servo very easy, you have no problem with this ?
Thanks.

I use the 9" with 2 cell 325 65c lipos, this gives great reverse thrust, but if you are using 3 cell the 8" are a must!

Thanks
