Flew the new CX2s a couple hours this morning...

...they are crazy good airplanes. They are very easy to fly.

First CX2s in Colorado

We're having a club event at my place (The DLG Ranch) on Sunday.
Including the Morris Brothers all the way from AZ we may have 16 pilots.

I have only flown the CX2s for about six hours now but I feel fully confident to take them to the dance.

I flew with Dave and Gary Jensen with their Stobels on Saturday. I was playing around a lot with programming that day but the CX2 appears to kick @$$.

You did not oversell these aircraft.

OOOOOOO! I finally found the sweet spot. I'm happy happy. I mean I'm happy YA!

AUW 260g, CG 86MM - 85MM with 1oz ballast, stab shimmed, in the front, with 2 thiknesss of black electrical tape.

Good Stuff Maurice! I want to suggest masking tape only because I find electrical tape to be a little squishy... I'm at three layers now and still think I need at least one more.
It's surprising how much difference one layer of tape makes.
Anybody else shimming the stab?

Nope, stab shimming is only for looks. The performance benefits over simply leaving the elevator trimmed down are negligible. Oh you vain CX2 drivers

I want to agree with you but I can't...yet!

...now back to the "sky lab"......we shall see!

This may need further discussion as we "progress" into the world of the CX2!

I will respectully disagree...although i dont own a Concept. It will not change performance but CAN affect handling.
