Clay,

Mike Mauer fixed a cut in a Polaris wing with "foaming" Gorilla glue. It looks like it is a "foam filling" technique. (Not sure.)

Here is the link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...528823&page=60

But weight might be a problem since tail weight is so important.

Lowest weight possible is a goal of the fix. I considered cutting out a wedge of the elevator and replacing it with some blue foam. I'll check in to the Gorilla glue.

Thanks Tom.

Also, if anyone has a spare I could buy, let me know.

Mix a lot of micro balloons to a really thick paste. Fill the hole and redrill for the peg. you'll hardly notice any weight gain, and it makes a great hard point!

The Gorilla Glue is too soft and pliable for that stab repair. I would lean toward the foam cutout & replace method, sand to match airfoil, create a hard point for the pin, and light glass over it all. Shouldn't add hardly any measurable weight as you are only replacing what was already there.

George,

So glad to see you are healing well.

Just do not push it. Let time pass and I am sure you will be better than ever.

you will be throwing sooner than you think.

to a speedy recovery,

I am just curious if the doc put anything "special" in there to enhance performance?

Yes.

Everytime someone pisses him off, the middle finger automatically raises . No longer any need to go to the brain to respond.

And he'll get another 20ft on launch......
