Typhoon update

First of all, Mong and me say many thanks to all for your very dearly concern about our well being
So far it seams that we can get away with a black eye this time, more lucky than many others in Taiwan. Still it is not over yet, just ringing the bell for the 2nd round....., keeping us bussy.

Did anyone ever had the chance to be face to face with the eye of a Typhoon?
Well, here is how it looked just a few hours ago....
The eye approaches in not to far distance with blue skys amid the inferno...
All of sudden the sky started to turn purple around the eye, just like an aura of hell. Just minutes later, the sky turned totally purple. All colors in the attached pictures are real!

Many thanks again and see what's coming next....

Mong & me

Mong and Roland, glad you are safe after the storm, they are not to be messed with. It would be an absolute shame for master craftsmen to be delayed by a flood or worse.

I have had the unfortunate experience of having the eye of 3 hurricanes pass over my house. The calm is surreal. What follows is bad, bad, bad. It is truly terrifying when the sky turns green, that is the color I will run from. I do not have pictures of that as the camera would not have survived, and risk to person was very high as is.

Hmmm..

Hi All,

As some of you know, I snapped my CX2 boom shortly after launch at BSOC due to Spektrum radio lockout. Poor thing Anyway, got that all fixed up. Also ran some internal pushrods to take care of some linkage issues I was having rigging the pull-pull lines. Stiff control surfaces now

So, for the past 3 days I've been flying her a few hours at a go. Today, something felt wrong on release and I heard a small noise. On landing, I noticed my spar/D-box area was partially delaminated and I have new creases more or less where the center area carbon meets the disser glass. It does not feel good or solid inside

This seems to be the same place that Finch has broken his wings, around where the RDS must go thru the spar.

So, what do I do now? Fortunately my wing is still in one piece, but I'm pretty sure wicking CA isn't going to take care of this problem

If anyone has any input, I'd love to hear it. BSONM is coming up and I need this baby flying to put the hurt on the other NM boys.
