Hmmm... Thats not going to work for me. Need to use a spektrum receiver. Well, hopefully, I'll be able to dremel out some foam and get a AR6100e to fit in there...

No need for a dremel aside form the wire channels. Here is how I did it...

Where's the receiver???

Look pretty tight. I was thinking to go with 1300mAh pack. Might have to go with 1000mAh if I have to use the bigger spektrum receiver.

There is an AR6110E under the wires. You can see part of it just below the silver elevator pushrods.

Ah. I see it now. I was thinking of trying to squeeze in an AR6200 without the remote receiver in the similar location. Not sure if the 6200 can be used without it.

It is not needed. Just use the parkflyer receivers. This is a small jet and it won't be able to go very far from you. I use AR6110E's and Hobby King Orange receivers as well. Really no need for the bigger ones....

Yup. I'll probably just get one of the 6110's then.

Thanks for the info.

Maidened yesterday. Performance was awesome! Way faster than I had anticipated.

Unfortunately, the Mig got destroyed on the second hand launch. Got another one on order already.

This Wicked 4800kv w/ wemo combo is awesome!

Hey Don,

Quick question. I had originally bought the 40amp HW ESC based on your original posting listing your setup. However, I see in your pictures you're using the 30 amp esc. Can you confirm which one you're using? If the 30 amp works well, then I'll switch to the smaller esc.... need all the room I can get...

BTW, for the receiver, I picked up an ORANGE Spektrum compatible 4 channel receiver. This thing is tiny. I was nervous at first to use it but it seemed to work flawlessly.

Have you experimented with adding some anhedral? I noticed a few people have done this for added stability. Curious on your thoughts>?

I fly with someone that has put has done that to his and it flies great! It is kinda hard to get the wings straight and not twisted though.

I had read in the Alfa thread about adding some incidence in the wing. Has anyone done this?

Did TheDon add any washout in the wing? I know rvincent did but doesn't look like he added much.

mig 15 50mm

glad i looked at what everyone had to say on this---flew mine stock today and if i had not set about 1/16 down trim on elev i would have got into trouble---i had to enter 5 more clicks of down and everything was fine--cg is about 93 mm---I used a quarter up in nose---flys good ---i will keep drop tanks off-- it needs the streamlining ----Go Vertical Baby !--but u will have to go 4S

[QUOTE=rvincent;17770344]Ok thanks, I'm getting ready for that step right now. I did as you did with the vertical stab and changed the incidence. I also cut in the needed anhydralto give it the scale look I also warped in a little wash out in the wing tips. Hoping these changes help it fly flower better given the added weight of the 1300 4S pack[/QUOTE

I know I am coming in a little late but hopefully this thread and the plane is still alive.

How much anhedral did you give for the scale look and did it help out at all?

Funny you should ask I just dusted her off to go out tomorrow! Yeah it helped and it flies great!! Very stable and smooth. Also VERY fast With the fuse on a level table it has 1/2" clearance under each wingtip.
