I dont know whats more interesting, the plane or studying the crap around it! when I was a kid my room looked just like your play room there. Old Air compressors, lego's, gears, screws, wires, wood all stroon about. My mom would go into fits once in a while! She gave up.

There is a master builder who makes 1/6 scale tanks who thrives on that type of chaos too. his backgrounds are excellent. Nothing wrong with it, I just think its interesting.

I've seen your models Silent...and..well..I hate you...so very... very much.

ok, i'm interested in it again.... going to work on it abit more for about a week then I'm going on vacation for a week (going to Florida to throw an RC boat into the ocean)

for the power system I'm going with the turnigy 600 heli motors the 1100kv variety http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=11102

not sure how well its going to work though.... any thoughts suggestions?

this is a 90mm jet, right? 1100Kv isn't enough RPM/volt. remember that an electric motor is probably only good for 80-90% pf this number under load, so your RPM is gonna be very low on an 1100. you'de probably have to run it on 14S to make it work. you need probably 1600-1800Kv as a good start to make a 90mm come to life. since you are better running a high volt/low amp setup, you should run at least 6S. if it were me, I'de run an 1800 on 6S and that should give you enough oomph to cruise around at half throttle or less.

If you're coming to South Florida (Miami/Fort Lauderdale/The Keys) shoot me a PM and we'll do some flying in the sun.

I think he's using a pair of 107mm fans.

I think it may be too litlle Kv for that size fan too, but then again, we are talking about a floaty airliner here and not a balls to the wall fighter plane. it may be just fine, but take a little extra throttle to cruise around. if you want the amps to come down to make it easier on the packs, just go up a cell.
