I have one. It performs well. It thermals very well. Playing on the slope proves to be fun as well. The only thing I don't like, is at full power the airplane tends to climb at a steep angle.

you know, I am not sure. usually on my bigger planes I perform a ground check, but for this airplane I did not do that.

I can't really guess because I spend most of my flight time with the motor off.

I had a fun flight today with the Phoenix. I adjusted all the control surfaces to give full range. LOL It made the airplane more exciting. I also mounted a HD camera to my Phoenix, I will post the video as soon as I edit it.

I've flown it, but I'm not the best person to review it. This is my first sail plane. I've flown it maybe half a dozen times. Once I figured out I was suppose to get it up really high to catch thermals it flew fine; although, I did have tracking problems at altitude.

I had this problem. I programmed my radio to take care of this. For level flight I added a little down elevator...for full power climing I added flaperons with a little down elevator...it will lift without the extreme nose tilt.

Put it this way, I ran out of energy before my plane did. I ran a 20C 2200 3cell battery. The longest flight I had was 30 minutes with a good wind and thermals. I eventually brought her down because I had to use the facilities.

I am going to join this discussion because I want to hear your reports. I just learned about this glider and am very interested to see how people like it.

It looks a lot like an Easy Glider. Anyone flown this and an Easy Glider? I have an Easy Glider Electric with a brushless.

How is it boxed? Can you put it back in the box after you fly? I have a Radian and I love how it goes back into the box.

Not saying the EG or the Radian are better. These are just my comparable planes.

What kind of climb angle do you get?

How does the foam compare the Elapor and Zfoam? The specs say EPP but I have seen a number of ads that say EPP and they are really EPO.

What kind of glue do you use for repairs?

I like the ibind approach. Seems they have picked up on Horizon Hobbies Bind N Fly packaging. Glad to see Hobby People doing the same thing.

If it does fly well and thermal well, you might want to consider posting a time in the Big Sky contests

The Phoenix will go back in to the box, if you cut the box open for the tail. But I don't really care about that for a foam airplane. I made a foam stand that hold the fuse, wings and wing spar, and it fits perfectly in the trunk of my car or on the back seat. I have had my hand on an Easy Glider, but not the Radian. My opinion is the Phoenix thermals and floats much better.

The foam seems okay to me. It does not have a problem with Tamiya spray can paint or clear coat.

If you need to repair the airplane, foam safe CA works as well as Epoxy.

I am part of a glider club and I am always looking for a good entry level RTF that I can recommend for new members. That is why I am interested in this plane.
