Alfa Model F-86 Sabre
Feb 13 2011
This is an oldie by a real nice flyer from Alfa Model in the Czech Republic. I haven't flown this in years (2005), I intend to put it back in the air this summer. Read on by clicking on the Comments...

Alfas were known for three primary things- Great appearance, excellent flight characteristics, and and completeness. I still remember this plane had a unique feel to it in the air. This was my second jet, barely enough power to hand launch due to the 3 blade EDF, which brought about the 5 blade upgrade available from Alfa later. Flight times were 6 minutes at full throttle without over discharging the 1200mAh pack. The ailerons are shown downward but in flight they would actually be up 1mm.
