My static models

Some of my static models that I have built.
These are Guillows old die-crushed kits that I buy off the internet or by word of mouth most are over 30 years old and have been sitting in an attic.
My main interest is World War 1 but I have a P-38 lightining waiting to be built.

Super looking models, Ben. Really love that SE5 and the paint scheme.

If you like the old Guillows kits, try out Aerowerkes and his laser cut full kits and short kits. Dave has reworked the old Sterling and Comet plans to insure that everything fits. His laser work is superb, the balsa selection great, and the cost is extremely reasonable when compared to the prices asked for the vintage Guillows kits.

Regards
Craig

Do you ever convert any of your models to electric RC? Static scale models are a lot of fun because we don't need to be worried we are adding too much weight with nice paint jobs or detail.
I have often wondered why more static scale modelers don't build the old balsa stick and tissue models, particularly WWI subjects where the wood and tissue look so much more authentic than plastic or other mediums.

Thanks Cem,
Hopefully my TA183 will survive its maiden and then it will also get a nice coat of paint.
