Ya know, I watched a video where some guy had to do the same thing with his Vee on the Tx. It was amazing and I have no idea why it worked that way, but it did.

so.. i was finally able to measure the antennas seems to be looking good. at least they were impressed -.-
it has the impression that they get better, the higher the number of lobes is.

greetings

very interesting result Mechnan !!!!

imagine a total full circular lob....I mean a 1/2 spheric lob!!!!!!

like a 1/2 conductive sphere(but hollow) with perfect matching length and angle.....finally something looking pretty close to the 1/2 modelling pattern radiation....(it reminds me the Line Array system for sound system diffusion)

how to build that????

and what about a full sphere????

-----
what is the calculation rule you use for those antennas? same as the CL one on the first post for each?

Hi guys I am currently building a new wing and was going to put my new cloverleaf on board.

the question is I have seen the metalic look covering film on hobby king.

Does anybody know if this will effect rf at all ?

Thanks

John.

Thanks Alex the antennas are great, I built a couple .

Put a piece in the microwave oven along with a cup of water.
If it become warm or tear up a hole in space-time you got your answer.

SPW and CL jig

Just made a jig with some plywood and some wood blocks cut at 45 degrees to make my CL and SPW. worked perfect. I hot glued the leaves down to the wood while i soldered. it was sooooo much easier than doing it the other way.
