This isn't a club, But it is a field with a runway; On the North East side of Power
and Riggs Road, there is a large open Field that is completely empty except
from a Mormon Church. There is a Huge dragged Dirt runway in the middle,
plenty of room to fly, I've flown there Many times, and have seen other people
there flying both gas and electric, Both Small and large. I've never had any
interference problems/signal loss. its a great place to fly. To get there, you just
go east on Riggs from Power and turn Left just after the Church, and continue
onto a dirt road that leads up to the runway. Like I said, it is just an Empty
dirt field, so there is no admission fee, and AMA is not required, but of course,
you should have it anyway.
Just thought I would throw this place out there due to the recent closure of the Gilbert Club.
