Hi Rick,

I posted the videos because I doubted some of the newer members of the Tandem family on here would have seen them.

It appears the Chinook threads are having a bit of a revival again
Let's hope they continue to grow

John.

Still really tempted by the Esky chinooks I listed but I fear if I were to acquire just one of them I would lose a part of my anatomy I that I would not be able to repalce wit a. eBay spare part!

Heres a really BIG Chinook!
Probably the biggest RC Chinook! (8 min 37 sec)

Thanks Rick.

Actually, I got the Twister from the UK .. at a time when this was the only way to get one. I am not sure if this was in 2009 or already in 2008 (but I´ll look it up later ...)

The batmobile is from when a friend of mine (who also told me about quads and wanted me to get one already long before the mQX) was big in crawlers ... and we talked about this a lot and I ended up diving deeper into crawlers than him ...
But that was also quite a while ago and I have not "played" with a crawler in a very long time ... right now I am focusing very much on learning the mCPX ... with lots of gutwrenching crashes ...

What I replied on my blog, just without the links - they seem to be still available in the UK, in Germany (and maybe they are still in Australia) ... however, hobby lobby - which was seemingly the ABSOLUTE ONLY store in the WHOLE US that was carrying it, dropped it! And I saw with the Skylift, what a costly endavor it is to get a heli from Great Britain (cost me almost 60$ in shipping at that time ...)

So if you are a collector, this may actually make sense, to have one to play (AND CRASH) with, it is at least questionable (my Skylift survived exactly 20sec on its maiden flight before I crashed it into the metal legs of a table and it has NOT been flown again since (still hurts too much to see the fuse look like it got hit by a sidewinder rocket or something ... ...)

Am I the only one with the Litehawk Duo?

It really is a nice little tandem - very good quality, surprisingly good power and precise control. OK, it is a bit overpriced.

I would love one but with it being a bit overpriced plus the ridiculous shipping to the UK I might as well by an old one from the Canadian Airforce and refurbish that

I don't have a Litehawk Duo just yet, either. Amazon's selling them for $50 and that's still too steep for me. I'll break down sooner or later but not just yet. If I see one in a store my willpower might just fail me though.
